It is not difficult to get a web site to pay. All you have to do is to add a few Google Adsense advertisements, ike the ones on this site and then you push as much traffic as you can through it. Many people have made a lot of money this way but it is generally short term and most of us just haven’t go what it takes to game the system. Which brings us to a point of issue and an important croosroad.

What is and what is not ethically correct? What is short term? What is long term? What makes sense and what does not?

There is nothing complicated about the net. It is only people who complicate the simplest of things. And the net is simple. There is one rule and one rule only. That is to “make yourself useful”. A little simplistic maybe but I can think of no better way to put it. Make yourself useful, ensure that you are getting seen and the internet is going to start working for you. Does this guarantee you success? What is success? How do you measure success? It is all a question of values, personal values so it is not an easy question to answer. But if you keep it real, if you keep it focused and personal you will be making a contribution in your own way and Google recognises this. This is how they built their business and very little has changed despite the fact they have grown into one of the most powerful businesses enterprises this world has ever seen.
